Course Description

First aid and CPR are good skills for anyone involved in adventure sports – just in case.  And, you need these skills for the Rescue Diver Course.  Through a combination of independent study and skill practice with an instructor, you’ll build the confidence and skills to provide basic emergency care.  EFR will cover the following topics:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level

  • AED (automated external defibrillator) use

  • Preventing and caring for shock

  • Spinal injury management

  • Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk

  • Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations

The EFR course fee ($120) includes:

  • Course tuition, enrollment fees, and certification card

  • Complete audio visual presentations

  • Hands on training with emergency training equipment

Course Structure

  • Prerequisite:  none

  • Two class sessions

  • No pool sessions or dives

Course Fee does NOT Include:

  • EFR Manual
