Course Description
“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. This course is about is rising to challenges and mastering them. You’ll learn about rescuing yourself and other divers, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, and emergency management and equipment. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.
The Rescue Diver Course Fee ($250) includes:
- Course Tuition, Enrollment Fees & Certification Card
- Instructor Fees for Rescue Certification Dives
- Complete Audio Visual Presentations
Course Structure
- Prerequisites
- Be 12 years or older
- Have a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)
- Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years
- ADI normally schedules an Emergency First Response (EFR) Course immediately prior to its next Rescue Diver course. Contact ADI at 321-453-0600 for more details.
- Students will meet with the instructor on the scheduled date of the class. The rest of the course scheduled will be determined by the instructor and students. The course will include:
- Classroom session(s) and Pool Session(s)
- Two dives: a low visibility dive (normally in the Banana River) and an open water dive
Course Fee does NOT Include:
- PADI Rescue Diver Manual (Crew Pack)
- Boat Fees
- SCUBA Equipment
- Rent ADI equipment at a reduced student price
- Use your own (must have been serviced within a year)
