Sea Saba is a PADI 5-Star Resort as well as a PADI National Geographic Dive Center.
Saba plunges below the sea as steeply as it rises above it. From shallow patch reefs to deep underwater seamounts, Saba offers dive sites suitable for every diver’s level of experience.

Come with US to Saba!
The island of Saba rises majestically from her clear azure waters, stretching her summit to caress the clouds…She is like no other Caribbean destination.
On the track of nature, hit “The Road” (we only have one) & discover Saba out of the water. Yes, you’ll notice everyone that passes waves; wave back! It’s part of the local charm. Take time to talk to the locals and shop keepers – some of their families date back to the early 1600’s. Share a few moments with a friendly Saban & learn facts & tidbits you won’t find in any brochure. Use your manners & ask permission to take a photo. There are 14 official marked trails on the island & that doesn’t consider the wonderfully scenic walks you can take on any road. Whether you have all week or just part of a day you can enjoy the unspoiled people & nature of Saba!
Juliana's Hotel
Juliana’s Hotel is Saba's most popular property. Located on the perimeter of Windwardside, this intimate hotel offers garden and ocean view rooms as well as four handsome Saban cottages that join the main property. These cottages are well suited to the more self-sufficient traveler or those who like the space of a home with the full services of a hotel.
This immaculately maintained property is surrounded by well-manicured tropical gardens, and wireless internet throughout. Each room is equipped with satellite TV, coffee maker, refrigerator, and air conditioning (except the traditional cottages of Lily Pond, Flossies and Floral). Wifi is available throughout the property. You can even treat yourself at the on-property hair salon Pure Style.
Start your day poolside at Tropics Cafe with a variety of breakfast choices, included in your rate. Lunch and Wim's famous cocktails are served throughout the day. Enjoy free wine hour at the Tipsy Goat Bar Tuesday-Sunday 4pm-5pm with panoramic views of the mountainside and the ocean. Tropics Café is open for dinner every night but Monday. Wednesday night you can enjoy the “virtual hike” film about Saba’s Mt. Scenery cloudforest before dinner. Friday is TGIF where many islanders and tourists meet to re-hash the week; bar favorites and drinks abound
Sea Saba and Juliana’s Hotel are two separate businesses. Wim and Johanna live on the property of Juliana’s Hotel. John and Lynn have lived on Saba since 1989 when they both worked as dive instructors and eventually bought out the original owners of Sea Saba in 1992.
Traveling to Saba from her neighbor St. Maarten is just the beginning of your adventure. The 12 minute flight aboard a De Havilland Twin Otter is thrilling. Touching down at Saba’s airport will be a landing that will forever be remembered & frequently recounted.

It’s easy to fall in into pace of island life. You’ll receive a warm welcome from the people of Saba who have not forgotten the benefit of a friendly greeting, which makes wandering through a Saban village all the more enjoyable. Idyllic gingerbread houses & well-kept gardens resonate the pride the people of Saba feel for their island. Small eclectic bars & restaurants will infuse your nightlife after you’ve hiked a mountain rainforest trail, dove a world - acclaimed dive site or just lazed by a pool with a good book.
Saba general information
Saba proudly declares itself "The Unspoiled Queen" referring to her unspoiled nature and inhabitants. Get excited to dive what many feel is some of the Caribbean’s best diving. Last year Saba was proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Saba Conservation Foundation. 30+ years of protection make a difference both underwater and on land.
The best way to describe this unique island with only 1400 people is to list our "have-nots". Saba has no crime, no high rises, no traffic or traffic lights, no pesky insects, no crowds, no fast food restaurants, no casinos, no cruise ships. Oh, and we almost forgot, no beaches. Instead Saba's guests enjoy a choice of small, intimate hotels and private cottages within quaint villages among friendly locals.
For over 30 years, the waters surrounding Saba have been protected with no fishing and no anchoring. This foresight combined with Saba’s limited coastal development has ensured the health and vitality of our pristine reefs as evidenced by the abundant variety of fish, pelagics, sponges, and corals. The Saba Conservation Foundation has also protected Saba’s verdant, enchanting cloud forest, which visitors can experience through a well-maintained network of hiking trails. Whether through wise and responsible management or through research on everything from Saba’s birdlife to coastline, the SCF plays a vital role in protecting the majesty of Saba’s natural wonders.
For a small island, you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of our restaurants—from outdoor barbeques to fine dining, all at reasonable prices. Saba even has two ATMs, decent cell phone coverage, its own ISP, and island-wide Wi-Fi.
Memories to last a Lifetime
Step back in time as you experience a luxury that can only be defined as the absence of excess. On Saba, you can expect warm days, cool nights, charming villages and a rich heritage the Saba people are eager to share. Here you will find quality accommodations and excellent restaurants at reasonable prices. The absence of beaches equates to short boat rides to our 28 moored dive sights. From towering pinnacles to brilliant coral gardens, our underwater seascapes off inspirational experiences for every diver!
One of Saba’s attractions is that there is a wide range of sites without the need for long boat rides. Saba offers year-round diving with season differences in water temperature & surface conditions. Summer months yield a toast 80° F to 85° F. Nature itself insures a variety of different marine activities & aquatic visitors throughout the year.

Our boats have plenty of shade, sturdy platforms and ladders, areas to hang and store your gear as well as a fresh water rinse facility. Cold water and lemonade are provided for your comfort. Your gear stays on the boat until you are finished diving…at the end of your stay, we deliver your equipment to the hotel.

Diving Freedom –
Message from Sea Saba
We recognize the needs of experienced divers. Most of our divers find diving with our guides a pleasure – knowing they have the knowledge & experience to find more marine life but never overbearing or condescending. However, if you prefer to dive as a buddy team & do your own thing or take an entire dive to photograph a Redlip Blenny, we’ll give you that freedom provided you follow our basic safety guidelines.
